Gas is used for supplying many household appliances and systems, including heating, clothing dryers,
hot water heaters, boilers, and furnaces.

You need a Licensed Plumber to install, correct, or repair many of these problems.

Gas is naturally odorless. However, before it is supplied to customers, an odorant is added, so that leaks can be detected before a fire or explosion occurs.

If you smell a STRONG odor of gas in your home, do not light any matches, use any electrical appliance, not even a wall switch.
Open the windowsif you can, and call 911, Con Edison, or National Grid from a telephone OUTSIDE of your dwelling or business.
